hello all,

it is the PCC that they are asking for.It is for Immigration department..Embassy says that PCC will be issued within a day after the submission of the forms and a fee of QAR 75.

Thank you all for your reply,

What is generally required is PCC which is issued by Embassy.

I have heard of PCC only. What is this affidavit about? It is better to ask your company what it is and if they have a format you can check if Indian embassy can help you with it.

Looks like you are holding an Indian Passport and that should be enough proof as you are Citizen of India. If you hold any other passport, the Indian Embassy would not give you the required Affidavit.

Make sure that you are giving only the Citizenship Affidavit and nothing else.

lammelonhead, PCC and Citizenship Affidavit are two different issues and I dont think they will ask for the PCC if it is for work permit.

I do have the same question of ReninGeorge. If you have the Indian Passport why do they ask for an affidavit from the Embassy. Do you have a dual Nationality?

I think you should better go to your Embassy and clarify the matter there. I have no idea about the rules in Indian Embassy.
