Business Visa Expired

Dear Qlers ,

I entered Qatar based on a business visa sponsored by my husband's company. I have been here since 3 months, and I am unable to renew the visa. However, I am currently working for a company that is working on my papers to sponsor me.

I am questioning if the company I am working for is able to proceed my working visa without the need to leave the country and come again on a visa sponsored by them.

And if I have to leave, can you tell me if there is a specified number of days that I should stay outside Qatar in order for my visa to be ready.

Moreover, what is the penalty for each day I have to stay in Qatar while my current visa is expired? also if there is any illegal acts for staying on an expired visa

thanks .

company (where you are currently connected) is really processing your work visa. Ask for an assurance and be transparent with them that your BV is already expired. Because it's either they will ask you to shoulder the penalty or they could not get a female visa (which is really hard to get now).

Better consult your mandoob for proper actions!

penalty of temporary visa (Business or tourist)is 200 QRs per day and a maxmum of 12000 QRs.

If you present company has a blocked visa, within a week they can issue a work visa for you, but if you r working with them for a month, then they are just using your temp visa till it gets as they dont have female visa.

No need to exit once you got your working visa, but it must be transfer in your original passport, as it would not be valid unless it is stamp in the passport..

Penalty is 150-200 riyals per day.

Per understanding, you need to leave the country as the Business Visa is expired and need exit from your sponsor.

You can come back in BV from your new sponsor and be there till your work visa is processed.
