GUYS..I JUST GOT MY HUSBAND RESIDENCE VISA THIS WEEK,,AND LOTS OF WORKS TO BE DONE,,HEADACHE,STRESS OMG!! i been through family visit too before,.FAMILY VISIT VISA IS DIFFERENT FROM FAMILY RESIDENCY VISA.,as far as i know, family visit visa just needs NOC from company and salary certificate..just that..whatever profession u may have it doesn't matter as long as you can show to them you're salary certificate..no profession required,u will just need your profession in applying for husband residency but if family visit no need! then if u dont have problem in your documents submitted,,u will get visa in 3 to 4 working days..Applying Residency visa for wife is another issue,,lots of requirements..Bank statement at least 6 months, house contract,(tenancy contract),Salary certificate from the company (at least 10,000 up),Certificate of Professions,Marriage Contract (attested by the embassies)and with stamp at Ministry of Justice here in Doha,NOC from company of husband,Work Contract of husband in a company,.and interview by the captain after submitting complete documents...LOTS OF WORK...sometimes they approved ,,sometimes they reject depends on your interview, and need to apply again after 3 months i think..HEADACHE!but be patient, don't give up,u will have to wait!,,hope it'll help guys!..thanks God i got it now,,,5yrs residency under my husband sponsorship! sponsorship..!

Hi

My wife is on a tourist visa currently with me. Can i apply for a residency or visit visa while she is still in Doha or she needs to exit out of the country.

As i understand tourist visa cannot be converted to residency

Also which would be a better option in terms of saving time to get a visa - a visit visa which is later converted to residency or a direct residency visa .

I would very much appreciate the feedback of the forum members

Hi, i would just like to ask if there is such provision in the labour dept that those husband with plumber position can't get their wives RP eventhough they have more than QR7500 salary?

By acuna_sharon• 3 Mar 2011 07:02
acuna_sharon

yes residence permit i mean...what are really the requirements that your husband submitted to the labor office? maybe the requirements submitted by my husband was lacking or something...

By chevydjak• 2 Mar 2011 13:59

you mean RP (residence Permit) not PR?

I don't know, it's always up to the labor department...Even us, our application was rejected twice at the labor dept....we're just keep on trying and thank's God after 2 rejection they approved my Family visa...

Hi chevydjak, i want to ask if you're a filipina? I just want to ask something in relation to the PR visa because my husband is working in Hamad Medical Corporation as Maintenance Plumber and he recently applied for PR visa in order for him to get me there but, sad to say it was not granted. His salary is QR7500 but he is still living in the bachelor accomodation of the company. During his appointment last Feb. 23, 2011 he was just ask how much he is earning and how much he spend with his accomodation and he said QR1500 just to prove that he has a separate accomodation. After 3 days he goes to the labor office to know the result and it was not granted. According to my husband, he will apply again after 2 months but for now he wants to apply first a visit visa for me which is good for 3 months I think and then he will apply for the PR visa again sometime by April 2011. What do you think about this? Can you please help us if you have some ways to suggest?

I came from Labor Department and they denied my application to have a RP.

Because my husband VIsa is PRO. ALL PRO are not allowed to RP their Family.

The only solution is to change my husband work visa.

family in the month of december, almost 9 months after.

@chevydjak thanks so much for that..your husband is 2 yrs course, I would like to ask what his degree?

Because my husband is only telecommunication technician in AMA.They denied his application in Immigration. Actually we dont know what really the reason why they denied his application for my RP.

Now i want to fix my RP by myself . Their PRO is actually fixing it not us.. We do not know if they go directly to Immigration without going to Labor Dept. We gave to him all the requirements also the bank account his diploma etc...

---------------------------------

@ack01 my husband is not working as a PRO but his VISA is PRO. Their company want to change his profession to engineer but they denied his application because he is only two year course. So his application for my PR is also denied because his profession is PRO?

My question is PRO PROFESSION is not allowed to RP their family? because we ask for help in travel agency they told us that PRO is not allowed to petition their family for RP.. We really dont know if they are saying the truth or they want only to pay them.

Dear espiritu.marilou,

You can change profession to PRO-Mandoop if he actually work as PRO. Get a letter from your sponser and approach Labour Dep.

I don't know Ms. Marilou... my husband is a two yr. course graduate as well... but he sponsored us...after 2 rejection in the labor dept.

Regarding PRO visa, I don't have any idea.

chevydjak ,

how about telecommunication technician, my husband can sponsor me as RP?

in his ID he is Public Relation Officer job title.

There is no problem in salary bracket but the immigration denied his application to change his profession to an engineer because he is only have 2 yrs college degree.

So what are the other way that he can make to petition me as an RP?

His employer has engineer visa and willing to give it to him.

Somebody told me that PRO are not allowed to have RP for his family they are banned to have a RP for their family.

Any help or advice you can give to me.

I am here for almost 7 month as visit visa family.

By chevydjak• 23 Feb 2011 07:48
chevydjak

Then why don't you go to the labor department in C-Ring road? Take an application form and check for all the requirements...

The best thing you must do is try to apply for them as early as possible as u may or may not encounter rejection at the labor department... No guts, no glory :)

I know a lot of male secretaries/admin assistants, even receptionists who sponsors their families...most of them have 2 to 3 children... and their wife is not working.

So I know that secretaries can sponsor their family :)...

Hope it helps.

hi chevydjak, my husband is already here under visit visa which we have been extended until july 22 but I want to get them residency here together with my daughter (she's still in the Phil). Hope somebody can answer if the position of secretary with above 7500 salary can sponsor family residence?

i would like to ask if my husband can get a Resident permit for me if his education is only telecommunication technician?

By chevydjak• 22 Feb 2011 07:33

maybe...because for wife to sponsor her husband and child is quite difficult than husband to sponsor his wife and child.

But if you want the Family visit Visa which is renewable up to 6 months, I can't see any problem with that, you can get it... But I don't think/know in residency...

Computer Techician profession is OK for granting family visa but i said Technician[only] profession will not get the same as per the informations from Imm Dept.

Eventhough regardless of the profession category some PRO's are extreamly helpful to get throguh the visa.

if you are working in a private sector, you could get a salary letter status whatever you like, but if in govt. sector, sorry they dont play kinda games...

Any type of visa except LABOR VISA may sponsor their wife and children with the salary of 7,000QR for an employee employed in a private sector while 5,000 QR for Government employee provided by a company accomodation.

If you want complete requirements, you may visit the Labor department at C-Ring Road and take an application form... all requirements is written on the application form.

For Family Visit...salary of 5000 QR at least
