Paolo,as of my experienced regarding visit visa.My Sister tried to apply a visit visa for me,she's working in Governent (Hamad hospital)but was denied by the immigration. They said only Her Husband can apply for visit visa, bacause only Husband has family status and can sponsor a close kin.He is not allowed to sponsor me because I'm His brother in law, only His son or daughter or brother is allowed for His sponsorship. They changed the law again...because before I entered Qatar as visit visa by my brother in law's sponsorship (2001)

So,i've tried even business and tourist visa just to enter Qatar again, because my new Job is waiting there. But still it was denied by the immigration, since they can trace my record of 2 years ban.Ask your relative in Qatar also and give me some news.Goodluck to both of us!

Automatically you will be banned for 2 yrs, you can only come back early and work again if you have NOC from your previous company. with visit visa or family visa you can come & enter Qatar however you cannot have a new RP/Iqama as it can be traced from MOI system. You can only stay qatar until and before visa expires. But if u r highly skilled worker your new company can do something for you even if u dont hav NOC. As your new company can negotiate with ur previous sponsor. Ensha Allah...

Kabayan Paolo,I'm also a Filipino. We have the same problem going back to Qatar as I'm also cancelled since last end of December 2009.But my previous Company grant me an NOC for a certain individual and they said I can come back anytime in Qatar. But they didn't inform me that it is not possible to tranfer the sponsorship of Company to Individual sponsorship,it should be Company to Company according to Immigration. So I've tried applying for business and even tourist visa with the help of my relative there in Qatar, but it was denied by the immigration since I have 2 years ban record and the travel agency said I can not refund the money.According to Official in immigration, maybe this coming 15th of June new law for visas will be implement and less tough.INSHALLAH!

I don't have a NOC. But I've heard that there's some news that I can go back after 6 months. How true is that? Please enlighten me.

... From the company you were working for in Qatar before you left? If not, you can only come back after 2 years as an automatic ban kicks on from the date you depart Qatar.
