clarification on repatriation issues
I need a legal advice - starting Feb 2010 my company closed my contract/My work permit expired in the meantime and NOC already provided in case I find another job;
they also said that in case of repatriation I would have to pay for my own ticket as they already provided 2 tickets - the first one being provided after 6 months/2008 and the 2nd one, last year;
I want to know if the repatriation ticket is my job or not as many people say it is the company;s obligation;
Thank you very much for your time
You can claim the money according to the months you stayed here after your last paid leave.
It's the company's responsibility but you have to keep on asking them for updates so that they'll do it once they get enough of your stubbornness.
Most companies keep on saying yes but in the end they never have the time and sense of responsibility to do those things. That's why the solution is for you to adjust and be responsible to keep updating them daily at least two weeks before the deadline.
FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF "THE BIRDIE" ----8'S VERY SIMPLE.
It's ur company responsibility to send you to your destination,irrespective of the tickets offered in your contract for repatriation its their responsibility.

normaly sponsors give NOC, to give you another chance to stay in this country and work again. I suggest you utilize this favour from sponsor and try to get another job and dont fight for the ticket , whihc is hardly lesss than 1000 US$. Now priority is yours -- if you start fighting for the ticket, the sponsor may give you the ticket cost , but he has every right to deny the NOC and send u back to home country.
what is your priority ?
YOU said it >> you need legal advise, here you get amateur advise...go to the profesionals.
my opinion: if you are entiteled for another ticket you get. if you used your allowances you dont, iof you have no money at all, company need to pay no matter what..
anyway go get profesional advise if needed. they can help you fight the case if there is one..
good luck
