Hi everyone, Are there any people working in Immigration of Qatar could help? I was just wondering if whats going on my papers cus I believe it only supposed to take 3-4 weeks time to have working visa done. Ive been posting quite related question but seems cant find the right and specific answer. I may sound desperate just wanted to find out why my papers taking so long? As I am wanted to work there the soonest as possible. First, to save up money and help my family etc. Please explain elaborately why visa has been delayed. Thank you.

I dont find anything wrong with the way I ask the question.. Anyhow, thanks to both of you for the quick response. And to my fellowmen, yep thats true I may end up waiting for nothing so better yet, just wait.

and @ enquirer: hmm... so it does happen that takes the papers to come out quite longer than usual..oh well, again as I said.. Thanks again.

You need to be patient...make your "waiting time" a quality time with your love ones there....focus more on which company you are working here in Qatar...you might ended up "sorry!"

First of all, I'd advise you to mind the the way you ask question on QL. Nobody owes you any explanation! The best person to ask is your company's PRO and not on QL.

Learn to ask question in a POLITE way and you will get speedy responses.

Now to answer your question, the 3-4 weeks duration is not normally true in most cases. Most often than not it takes btw 5 weeks - 6 months so don't worry. Mine took over 3 months and my colleague took 6 months and we are both westerners!

Also, lately most of the Immigration's dept staffs are on holiday so that delays processing time too.

All in all, in this part of the world you need a lot of patience as things move at snail speeds! Be prepared!
