Diff b/w Family Visit Visa and a Visit Visa

Hi,

I was reading various forum posts and now I'm bit confused about the fact that what is the difference b/w family visit visa and a simple visit visa?

What I understood: A family visit visa must have a sponsor with his/her Qatar ID, Bank statement, apartment and other marriage docs etc AND on the other hand a simple visit visa does not require all these documents. A visitor can simply show that he/she has enough money to visit Qatar and that's it. Is this correct or I'm wrong.

Thank you!

I agree with Flor.

Family visit visa is valid only until 6 months. However, you can only get that for 1 month and is renewable for 6 months. However, after the 6-month period, you can renew it for 1-2 mos more (I'm not really w/ this) but after that, you must exit the country for 3 mos.

Family Residence Visa needs all the req'ts you stated above. And as long as your sponsor's visa is valid, yours is valid as well. But once he/she is cancelled, yours will be cancelled too.

Tourist Visa is the one you can get from the hotels and is valid only for a month

Disclaimer: I'm not an expert with this one. Anyone can shed some more info.

Family visit visa is of course for family..wife, children, in laws.. visit visa. For cousins, then apply for visit visa. Family visit visa fee is only QR 200. While for visit visa, you would go to hotel or travel agency, and the cost would vary. Some would ask for QR 700 up to QR 1,000.
