Family Visa

On 8th Dec I submitted resident VISA application for my family. The application was thoroughly checked and accepted by the immigration officer and she provided my the slip. In MOI website the status of application is still showing "THE APPLICATION IS UNDER REVIEW". As per my understanding once application is accepted at the counter then normally it takes 3-4 working days to get the VISA clearance but in my case it is now 8 days. Please let me know if there is any way to find out the actual status of my application. I am in real hurry because I have already booked air ticket for my family for 24th Dec. Kindly suggest

You guys are living in an ideal world that does not exist...full of hope...always. Don't let reality bite and when it does, don't live with regret and vent on QL....Good Luck!

Better go and check with the Immigration Deptt. It is true that normally it should not take more than 3 days.

Who told you that it would take 3 to 4 working days. It can take more than that, sometimes in a month's time. Starting tomorrow many people are taking leave with the National Holidays, all govn't office staff will start making their way to the airport and some taking long extended leave to make available festive season holidays and new year celebrations in other countries. I think now, you should have an idea, when your case will be reviewed. One thing to note, don't ever listen to anyone and don't expect that things will go your way easily here in Qatar. Always make sure you get all the right information and decide what you need to do (like confirming your family tickets). My advice, get the refund, pay the penalty and wait till you get everything sorted out for your family visa and then book the tickets.
