Dear Friends,

My wife is here in Qatar on a business visa and I am planning to get her under my sponsership (family visit visa), have some queries wherein I need your help:

1) Does she have to go out of the country before applying for family visit visa or it can get converted if there is NOC from existing visa sponserer?
2) If she has to leave, after how many days should I apply and what are the chances I get visa immediately?
3) What are the other requirements for family visit visa? I am Engineer by profession and have salary 10K + accomodation.

Please advise and help out.

Best regards.

Hi Kadars2007, I tried and applied for family visa. It got rejected today. I need to go there and check what is the reason for rejection. Meanwhile, is it possible for me to apply for a family visit visa for her eventhough the family permanent visa application is rejected? I have planned once to try for the reason of rejection and then if it doesn't workout then I thought of trying for a family visit visa. I have NOC from the exisiting visa sponserer. Please do the needful.

Your post 'Suitable job for my wife' got oopsed while I was typing a reply. So here goes, first addressing the smart alecs who asked, 'Is she pretty?'

Down with the discrimination. Why bother going for all those qualifications in the first place (for the woman), if looks are all that determine her quality of life??

Not only is that discriminatory, it's sexist in a distasteful way. Just goes to show the level of sophistication 'Man' has evolved into.

For the OP, she should keep trying, with her experience and qualification, she'll get a good job soon In Shaa Allah.

And instead of trying online, she should personally visit the desired organizations she wishes to apply at, and hand over her CV. Meeting people first hand always has a more definite impact than sending virtual CV and info.

All the best!

why you did not apply her beforehand a family visit visa rather than a business visa? before you can apply her a family visit visa, she needs to exit qatar then come back with the family visit visa. with regards to how many days before she can come back, that will depends on how long you will apply the family visit visa because normally, processing of visit visa takes only 2-5 days, that is based from my experience. for family visit visa you should at least 5k basic salary while for family residence visa, you should have at least 10k. other requirements are copy for both of you, passport, marriage certificate, your copy of qid.
