Did anyone have a good/bad experience with the French Embassy staff. I'm talking about the Visas section, was trying to get some info over the phone, spoke to a very irate lady, who could not answer the simplest of questions.

I have had a completely different impression when I went in person to the embassy...they lady at the counter was helpful, smilly, and friendly. Felt very confortable.
