How can I get a residence permit for my parents?

Hello all,

I am a British citizen working here. I would like for my parents who are both British citizens to live here with me.

I have been told that it is difficult to get residence permits for parents. Can anyone advise me how to arrange this?

They can stay essentially forever on a tourist visa, just do visa runs every 2 months.
