How to convert a Tourist Visa into a Visit Visa?

My wife is here in Qatar on a Tourist Visa which is valid for 1 month. I want to convert her Tourist Visa in to a Visit Visa (6 months validity) without going out of Qatar (I do not want to apply for her RP). Can anybody please tell me the procedure for a Visit Visa? Today I went to Labour Department with all documents. They said that to get Visit Visa, Labour Department has nothing to do. But they could not tell me the procedure.

Just go to Main Immigration at bldg 4 with your wife's passport and a visit visa form(you can get it in front of building 2 of immigration building).

tell the immigration people that you want to change the visa from tourist to visit.
