How do I know my Visa is valid?

Since I am already in the country, I just transferred my visa from tourist visa into residency visit visa. At the immigration, all they gave me was the receipt of 500 QAR for the transfer fee, nothing else.

So how do I know if my visa is valid and for how long?

Thanks for clarifying. I have done medical and awaiting for the result. However, I have no clue whether I am currently under residence visit visa. Like I indicated, all I received, was the receipt of transfer fee (500 QAR) and that's all?

The reason I am concerned is my tourist visa is about to expire in a few days....

they fee u pay is only for transfering ur visa from transit to permanent u have to go for medical and then finger prints then after clearnce oth of this u will go for puting ur rp.any problem u can contact me via email [email protected]

check on the moi website with your old visa number they might have extended the validity date.
