Yes it is possible to extend your visa after 6 months, and i have done 3 extensions till last week.

You will need to fill a Visit Extension form in any of the typing shops, go to Immigration office in Garrafah or near Landmark, Go to Building one (Main Entrance) First floor and meet Col.Nasser Al Attiyah. They take your forms and will put in a date in it. Usually 2 weeks / 1 week, etc depending on his moods. I went last a week ago and they told us that Nasser al Attiyah is on vacation and there is another guy. Its like a small interview where you go to him with your form talk to him and then he grants you extension. I got mine Extended for 2 weeks, 1 week and then 2 week... each extension will cost you 200 QAR you will need to pay in Building 4. But they demand for a return ticket always. Its a lot of money so try to get a booking and speak to the Officer on Duty in Bldg 4 and say its confirmed booking and show him the paper, he signs on your form and there you go .. they stamp on your passport.

But the question remains how long do you wish to keep extending your stay ? I find the whole thing a nitemare !!

after your 6mos period of stay in doha i dont think you can still renew it more another days, week, month or else you will be paying penalties like 200 riyals per day. or go back to your coountry of origin, rest for like 3 mos then come back here. goodluclk!
