My wife + 2 kids (8 years old) will be travelling to Doha on a visit visa for 2 months. Is it required for each of them to pay travel tax before leaving Manila? if so, how much and where? thank you
In reply to your question, if this particular tax will be included in the ticket purchased in Qatar , the answer is No . I am not sure if agencies in Manila , add this tax to the ticket.
thanks you po sa inyo... and mrs. flores, i am going to buy thier ticket from a travel agency here in doha, will the tax be included there? or if the ticket is bought only from a travel agency in manila?
yes, you are required to pay travel tax. I don't know if this can help answer your question as I have to base it on my case. I am husband sponsored and I pay a reduced travel tax amounting to P500 (more or less) by showing them my husband's OEC, and original marriage certificate. Unreduced travel tax will cost you P1,500 more or less. I hope this helps.
Additional info. Sometimes travel tax is already included when you buy your ticket from a travel agency. and the Ph2,000 (for two persons) amount is just an approximate i forgot the exact fee, maybe 1,000 for mother and kids 800 each...better prepare extra bucks for that. ;-)
Yes it is, they will pay it at the NAIA airport there's a counter for this. Please let them pay it first before going to check in counters otherwise they will be asked to go back and get in line again. Approx around ph2000. (I'm not sure) just let them prepare this amount copy of your Marriage contract & child's birth certificate. Aside from that they will also pay Terminal fee for ph750 each.

I forgot to mentioned, your wife & child should pay P1,600/each as a TRAVEL TAX at the Qatar Airways boot (at the PH Airport).
But in order for you pay only P500 out of P1,600. Just call PH Tourism Office (at TM Kalaw St.) on what are the requirements for TAX REDUCE.
After you get the Tax Reduce Receipt, just show that to the Qatar Airways boot (on your flight date) and you will not pay anything.
Say thank you if this helps you!
