HI Qatar Members,

In the next few months my family members will be traveling to few Gulf countries.

They wanted to visit Oman for a few days.

When I contact the Oman Embassy in London I was told the visa fee for British Nationals are £40 UK pounds) to save a bit of money I found out on Qatar gov web site I can apply for Joint Qatar Oman Visa which will cost me 100 Qatar riyals that = £17 each.

7 members of my family are traveling to gulf: I will make a saving £160 UK pounds.

Joint Visa is valid for 1 month & I can stay in both Oman or Qatar for 1 month.

I wanted to ask Qatar members has anyone applied for E-Visa with the web site www.gov.qa & if so how many days you waited to get your E-Visa?) 2 days 4 days 7 days?

I will be applying for my family E- visa within next few months I hope you can answer my question.

Dan

I was told that online visa is done by a computer system - that is really good.

It shows that qatar is using IT in government services.

When I applied for the 'joint tourist visa' online, I got 'instant' online approval. You can also specify and email and a phone number to get the visa numbers which you could also print from the webpage. I am sure it would be the same for UK nationality also. As a matter of fact, I was able to connect and talk to the rep on the phone number provided on the hukoomi portal.

PM me if you have any questions.

Scent thanks for information.

The information I was seeking I got from Live chat customer servicers advise which told me that once you apply for E-Visa it should take 24 hours get your E-Visa for a payment of 100 Qatar Riyals) I can travel freely to both Oman & Qatar.

Scent I hope Qatar is not to hot for your self. I been Germeny in 2009 I loved Bonn & Koln to amazing cities.

Regards Dan

Hi Dan30, I have a German passport and I arrived Doha few weeks ago and got a tourist arrival visa at the airport. It was stamped Qatar/Oman Joint Visa valid for 30 days.

Such a thing does exist, but if you post it on Qatar Living you won't get the best response, since UK, USA, western etc people with an RP for Qatar get some sort of visa waiver when they travel to Oman.

I'm not sure where you could go to get info on this. Perhaps try contacting the Oman Air or Qatar Airways offices in the UK, or even the Qatar embassy.

Perhaps a good travel agent could provide some advice?

Qatar and Oman are not anywhere near each other... are you sure you don't mean UAE and Oman?
