Labour Release law
Hi, My husband wants to resign from his company, he had been working with the present company since 6-7 years, now he want to change his job, because of some issues in his office, but the company is not ready to give the release, can anybody help me with the information how to get the release in this case.. there would be some procedure for the same.... I have heared that one can go to the Labour Court and show them the new job offer letter from offered company and then you dont need the release.. the new job offer letter is enough and one can get the release this way....by tranfering the sponsorship
??
@Punjabi, you are giving wrong advise. There is nothing like this, it is the choice of the company if they will give NOC or not. 50% of the workforce are employed locally, but they cannot get anything.
thats the labor law in doha,if the company doesnt want to give you released you cannot do anything for this.even you are working for 20 yrs with them.
Leaving Jobs: As before, workers leaving their jobs without an NOC will have to wait for two years. A period of five years had been under discussion, but was not excecuted. Those with an NOC (No Objection Certifcate) from their employer will be able to continue working in Qatar.
or
You can bring him in your sposorship.
Thanx Chrisd for your reply....
He definitely needs the NOC to transfer his sponsorship. The provision I was told is that it applies to workforce that are not "regular employees" of a company. I believe it applies to the workforce that are on a contract basis. Contract basis in a sense that there is a definite term of employment unlike regular employees that have security of tenure to a certain degree.
if there is law or such thing you,ve mentioned all employees should have done it and i'm one as i have 2 good offer.he needs NOC from his employer.
Not possible at all... He has to get NOC from his current employer.
I have been told that contract workers should be given a NOC if the new employment will be a permanent position. I was told that it is a provision of the law. Again, I was only told haven't verified it myself.
we are here all works as bonded labour, we cannot change the job without NOC of the present employer and providing NOC is his sole discretion.
