Good Day to everyone.
Just want to have some inquiries and specific answer pls.My brother has been locally hired by a construction company his visa has been transferred under their sponsorship if not mistaken about 2 months ago but it was not stamp on his passport.last month he resigned due to unacceptable repeated verbal abuse from the project Manager. On his last day of work,he is informed that he should pay the expenses for the transfer of his visa.
My question is, Is it proper that he should pay his visa transfer because he resigned? furthermore, they give an option to give release but they will not give plane ticket back to the country or they will give plane ticket but they will not give NOC.
are this option acceptable @ according to qatar labor law?

I fully agree with you when it comes to humanity and manners .... but sometimes as you mentioned , it is the need which force us to hide an eye .. but not when it comes to degnity and honor .

I feel very sorry for what he passed through and also sorry tosay that some people taking advantage of human needs ...

about me ? I never abused or took advantae of others ..

I am here for 21 years and proude to say that all my subordinates are my freinds and I respect each an every one in my team or other departments .

although being a senior manager , I am also an employee and after all human .

good luck

Is that so momo1962?

isn't it being a project manager,is it but proper to treat all sub-ordinates with dignity and respect regardless their position and nationality?if you have read my later paragraph he is being verbally abuse not only him but the rest of the employees in the site, but never he answered back and prefer to resign.

are this people human to make their employees suffer and yet suffer more for them to give NOC even they did not spend anything since he was locally hired. He need them,YES because he badly need the NOC.

Being a Senior Manager, how do you treat your sub-ordinates?

Thanks for the answer, I appreciate it very much.

The problem is the employer will automatically cut the visa transfer expenses from his remaining salary. And they are looking for the acceptance letter from another company before they will give release to my brother but at the moment he is still searching for another job.

Firstly regarding visa expenses to be paid to employer is not applicable unless there is some contract signed at time joining else this is not valid point by employer.

Secondly if you are resigning from the company than employer is not liable to pay for return ticket as per HR Policies............return ticket expenses to be borne by employer is only applicable if employer terminates you which is not the case here

Its better to take NOC rather ticket expenses as he can join any other organization once have NOC with him...

Lastly if employer has been abusing your brother than he has right to drag his Project Manager to Ministry of Law & Justice and demand for justice............
