Hi,
I'd highly appreciate your answers regarding transfer of sponsorship

based on following extract for Labour Law:'' a worker whose sponsor is willing to give him a release, can be employed by another company immediately''

i've question: is it possible to transfer sponsorship if the person has been working only 8 months, however he was terminated because of financial breakdown in the company & he got NOC?
btw both companies - previous & prospective are in governement sector...
thanks in advance

The case sound critical both Govt sector entities

One is closed down another is ready to pick up the employees...

whats wrong and can't see any hurdles...check with the PRO or immigration dept.

all the best!

Well I dont know much about the labour law but my hubby started at his new company a few days before the 1 year anniversary of the company that he resigned from, if that makes sence?

He does not need to cancel his visa as even without a job, that will enable him to stay here. Without that he has to go! Although he has been told 1 month, he should have untill his visa expires.

The new company have been great and have sorted out the change of sponsership and visa.

So it is possible, I would say, to change companies within the first year.

Yes you can change straight away if both companies are in agreement. My hubby handed his notice and was due to leave his company on the 1 year anniversary of his employment. He was given an NOC and in the end was able to start at the new company before the 1 year.

As far as I know, You'll have to wait for four more months. 12 Months period is mandatory.
