hi everyone...

I came here in qatar under family visit visa, Which is six months and luckily I got an approval to had it extended for another 3 months without leaving qatar.
after the extension was date expired I still stay here and paying the everyday charges of 200 riyal for two months and fortunately working visa under my name has been released.
when my husband went to MIE to settle my dues they hold my passport because they said I was overstayed for two months. and my husband was told to come back on next sunday to know the result.

is there any rules of overstaying in qatar?
is it possible to convert the family visitvisa to working visa without leaving the country?

or worst maybe they will cancelled us both because Im still under husband sponsorship...please anyone knows the rules and please advice me....thank you.....

you know guys.. i have to pay 20, 000 riyal for the fines and i have to leave...that is the maximum fines... i have been overstaying here for more than two months and if im going to count 200 riyals per day it won't reach that amount...

unfortunately, you might be booted.

if it was couple of days then they may have let is pass.. but the reason why they asked for time to decide says it all.

Why break the law from the first place!

After 6 months you got extension for 3 more months which can be done with the Immigration, done it with my friend's mom also....

They will collect the fine and will release you passport. Simple as that...

dont worry, things will settled down... never heard of deportation in such cases...unless one gets the legal order to stay here...

pay fine and you will be free to work over here... Good luck to you...:)

whether you pay the fine or not. It's the bad intent that they usually see. Hope they won't order your deportation! need to consult an Arabic-speaking mandoob and settle your problem with the immigration department!
