Hi Whats the age limit for getting residence visa for mother. I have engineer work visa for qatar and planning to apply residence vis for family. My mother is 56 years old. is it possible to get visa for her and get extension of residence visa in future.

It would be easier if your family is here first. They would check the salary and accomodation issues. And for parents there is no RP, only visit visa - for 6 months. After 60 yrs its a bit difficult to obtain visa. I found it very difficult to get my mother here last year because she had turned 64 and i happen to be her only son. I had to meet my sponsor and get thro with his influence, and it took a lot to convince the immigration officials.

There is no residence visa for mother. Only family visit visa valid for 6 months.

After 70, it is difficult to get a visa for parents. 56 is fine..!!
