I've not heard so far that that the RENT AGREEMENTS are needed for applying visa..However to make your point more clear, here are the procedure to apply for VISIT VISA.

1.You should have a salary of QR 4500-5000 for applying VISIT VISA for ur wife..(Though i've heard salary isn't a big issue while applying for VISIT VISA)

2.NOC from the sponsor(arabic)stating your position and salary(u shldn't hold a LABOURER category),marriage certificate/birth certificate attested by foreign affairs, labour contract, passport copies, ID copy..

3.The charges are 200 QR/person..

4.Garaffa or Abu Hamour immigration dept..

We don't have a rent agreement, as we're staying in a hotel... and I got my visa, no problem
