Aswanika... No problem but that depends on airlines by which u r planing to fly but most of airlines have 30kg check-in and 7kg cabin limit. so plan accordingly .... ours 42 inches was around 11kg so that was not problem for us.
Best of luck

Once i tried paying the customs duty, the policeman replied - "seems you have too much money, don't act oversmart, pay 3000 inr & go".
No nood to bribe. There is a standard tax rate irreapective of make . If that is old /used one, you need to carry bill accordingly. Roughly around 8000 INR for 42". Pay duty and be beauty. Jai hind.
go to airport early as baggage problem can be there.
Sharma can you share your experience after coming back,it would be useful for us.i think bribe is the right procedure :-)
Thanks
No bribe. You have to pay 36.05% customs duty for any TV yo are taking from India
100 to 200 QAR Bribe....thats it... :)
The import duty rate 36.05%
No customs requirement in India. Whether you follow the procedure or not, you have to bribe the policemen on airport in india :) Keep 10 QR notes for a sum of 100-150QR, that should do.
