I'm arriving in Doha in late August to start employment and will need to obtain residence and immediately thereafter sponsor my wife and child

Can anyone explain the process involved in achieving the above and the approximate time required for obtaining residence and sponsoring my family?

Took me from Feb 1st till May 30th for RP and I am still working on getting my wife and child's permit - That is with the help of Mandoop and facilitators from the sponsoring company. During this time we have been forced to either leave the country every 30 days or extend a visitors visa. - Some advice I have had is that it might be better to come and get your RP 1st and then bring your family. - You need to talk to your employer seriously.
