tourist visa

where do i apply for this kind of visa for my sister who is coming for the eid holiday from abu dhabi? should i apply this in garafa immigration?
i just came from the airport (visa section beside the airport parking lot) and a lady in the visa reception section told me they don't issue (tourist visa )there anymore, she told me to either go to garafa or apply for a hotel visa.
Some hotels do not charge extra for visa, as long as the guest stays at least for a couple of days. Depending on your budget, I would recommend Gloria Hotel, comfortable and nice place, with medium level pricing (around 600 QRs/day). I have heard Gulf Horizon hotel is cheaper and also provides visa. There is also Grand Suit Hotel with minimal prices.
Even you go for Hotel Visas, keep in mind that the process will be the same and it will take 3 to 5 days to get the visa ready. So you better hurry up with your decision. Eid holiday is approaching fast :)
If you can manage to give accommodation, forget about hotel visa; are a few, almost 5 stars, that takes visa, considering the visitor as their guest. Is compulsory to stay there during the visit, you have to book the room too, otherwise you have to pay a kind of very high penalty. (of course, if you have good connections to such hotel, is different...) But if the time is short and you don't have other option, this is an alternative.
well i guess i should be going to garafa immigration on sunday, the lady's instruction i think was clear enough and do you have any idea how much for a hotel visa?
thank you
I do not know if they have just changed the procedures, but i got my mother-in-law's tourist visa from Airport immigration like one month ago.
If Airport Imm. gave you a clear answer, you should apply to Gharraffa then.
At Airport or Gharaffa, do not forget, you will need a document to proove the relationship (family registration documents from your origin country, attested).
Or you can go ahead with Hotel tourist visas, which will be rather costly.
All the best
