Tourist visa to Resident visa

Hi All

Is it possible to get your wife on a tourist visa and later convert to resident visa ? What would be the process and documents required

Appreciate your guidance

Sorry Dear,

Its not possible to transfer tourist visa to RP.

But you can bring ur wife on 6 months family visa and later u can change her

Coz if u plan to bring ur wife under business visa then u need to also get an NOC from then to change to RP.

you can bring her with visit visa 3 months renewable 3 other months while processing her residence visa and then convert it..it is simple..don t worry :)

Thanks. But is it possible to come on a tourist visa and convert to family visit in a month so one does not have to exit . Also the family visit can be extended upto 6 months until the time residence visa is granted

s it is possible, but tourist visa is used to be of only 1 month, cannot live even second more than 1 month, so 1 month is not enough to acquire residince permit for her, better u bring her on 6 months visit visa and try peacfully, you can bring her on your sposor ship for 6 months

documents required

Work contract aggmt of salary 10,000

ur id copy

ur aqama copy

ur pp copy

ur wife pp copy

marriage certificate atested by FM home and FM qatar

house rent aggmnt copy

6 months salry transfer statement\

profession must be of officer

duly filled application filled in arabic and english

go to Garrafa immigration gate 4
