Transfer from Visit Visa to Work Visa !!!

Hi,

My wife is here in visit visa....she got a job in a company. But its been almost three weeks that I have signed on NOC to transfer the visa status of my wife as they asked for it. Still the company where my wife will work is telling it is under process. Does it really take such a long time to change visit visa to work visa??? Any ideas??

Yes. I have the same issue with me as I also arrived in Qatar on Visit Visa in Dec-2012 and my employer got my work visa now in end of Feb-13 (almost 3 months). But my employer says that it was time taking coz he did not have Engineer Visa available with him at the time I arrived. So please check with the employer of your wife if he has the right visa available or not. Good Luck

It depends... Maybe they don't have available visa now. Usually it will take 1 month to process a visa. The maximum will be 2 months.
