Assalamualikum,

I have recently learnt from one of my friends that it is also possible to get the Umrah visa for those who are on the Qatar tourist visa. You might have to pay extra; more than double of the normal. Some of the agents do it, but you might have to get their confidence.

But note that the visitor will not be able to come back to Qatar again on the save visa, they have to fly back to their country directly.

Regards,

Faisal

Assalamualikum,

Hope you all are in good health and emaan inshaAllah.

Regarding the matter:

If they want to go on umrah these are some of the conditions, options and procedures inshaAllah:

If a person comes on 'visit visa':

After they come to Qatar, they need to go through an medical examination (Cost 100 QR, results take 3 days).

Go to the Medical commission with the Visa copy, passport Xerox and your photo.

If they pass the medical exam, they need to take that results form and go to the emigration and extend the qatar visa for at least another month (Some KSA agents ask for 2 months extension, Cost: 200 QR per month per person).

Once the visa is extended, the passport needs to be submitted to the local umrah agent. He will charge 200 QR per person for the umrah visa which is valid for 1 month. If they want to take the bus service from here to mecca it will cost another 800 to 1000 QR (Doha-Mecca-Madina-Doha, total 9 to 10 days).

If they don't want to return from KSA back to Qatar, but go back to their own country from KSA then nothing much, but if they want to return to Qatar from KSA after umrah and then exit to their country from Qatar, they have to pay another 200 QR per person for re-entry (in the emigration itself, before leaving), (There are many local typists available in the emigration office itself, they will do the form fill-up job for you.)

If a person comes on 'Tourist Visa' or ‘Business Visa’:

Once they come here, the visa needs to be extended upto 1 month (its for 14 days normally). Within this time they have to exit Qatar. If they want to go to KSA for umrah, they have to get the umrah visa from their own countries itself (from their local KSA agent) as you canNOT get umrah visa from here if they are on tourist/business visa. From Qatar they can exit to KSA either by bus/car/plane with the umrah visa brought from their respective countries, but NO re-entry to qatar with the same visa.

Hope the above information is correct and clear inshaAllah. For any clarification, please do let me know and I shall be more then happy to address inshaAllah.

Wassalam,

Faisal Mohammed
