US Diploma Authentication

Has anyone tried to authenticate their academic degrees in the US?

I am currently in the last leg of this lengthy process. My document was sent to the US authentication office in Washington DC, which should forward the document to the Qatari consular services in Wash. DC to finalize the authentication.

The document was sent and received by the US authorities on May 22, but I have not received any update since then I am not sure sure where the documents are at the moment. The personal check I have sent to the US authorities has yet to be cashed and leads me to believe it has not been processed yet.

Anyone have any personal experience with this issue? I am trying to contact the office but there is no direct number, only an email or fax number which is not useful.

I called the Qatari consular services and they were unwilling to help to check if the document was forwarded to them.

Medexpat: I thought it was me but I agree, the Qatari embassy person I spoke with was extremely rude, almost confrontational.

Formatted: Thanks I will msg you privately.

Send me a PM..maybe I can help you. On your earlier thread regarding this subject, I told you to use the service of www.wcss.com. When it comes to Original credentials, always use a reliable company.

I had a similar problem. Forget dealing with the Qatari consular in the U.S. Whether you speak to them in English or have someone call in Arabic they are EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. The U.S. consular will not forward anything unless you put a self addressed and stamped folder or envelope with specific directions on it.

Yes, that's why it is best to use a document expediter. They hand-carry it through the process. You may want to contact one to see if they can go and find where yours are.
