Visa on arrival for GCC resident - 3yrs old - urgent
Dear Forum members,
I have a valid Oman resident VISA and currently in Qatar came on business VISA and in the process of changing to Resident VISA.
Now my wife and kid wanted to visit me for EID holidays in qatar from Oman and they have valid Oman resident VISA but sponsors are different.
Since my wife is employed in oman she is having employment VISA as manager category from her company. she is not under my family dependant VISA.
My son is 3 yrs old and having family dependent VISA from my company under my family dependant sponsorship.
My wife can get a VISA on arrival based on her eligibility ( manager VISA ) but i am worried about my son getting VISA on arrival at Doha airport. in the govt website it is not mentioned clearly on childrens having GCC residence status of VISA on arrival.
Should the sponsor( me) accompany him to get VISA on arrival for my son or he can get on arrival VISA since he is holding GCC residence and accompanied by mother who is not his sponsor but having GCC residence and eligible to get VISA on arrival.
Its urgent so please clarify.
Thanks in advance
Prasad.
You can get a Tourist visa for your son. If you do not want to make the things complicated I suggest to go for tourist visa for your wife as well as your kid. You will get in 3 days. I have done this long ago.
is right ....
Take ... One step at a time ...
Why is it so urgent? Get your RP done first and then call them here (what is the hurry) or contact an agent and see there can be a possibility of tourist visa for your son
by the way, you are not allowed to have 2 resident visa. if you are on the process of getting a resident visa here in qatar, you have to cancel your oman visa before they allow you to have a qatar rp.
your wife can get a visa on arrival because of her profession in her RP but your son is not allowed for visa on arrival because he is under your sponsorship and you are here in doha under business visa. your son maybe under your sponsorship but that is only applicable when your are in oman but since you are now in qatar and you are in the process of applying a resident visa, it will not be considered that you are the sponsorship until you have the qatar RP and applied a sponsorship of your son thru your qatar rp. that means he is not allowed for the visa on arrival.
