Visa Problem !!!

Good Morning Everyone ! I hope you all can help me out soon !

I am in qatar on a business visa and I am hoping to get a work visa soon.
However my convocation certificate from mumbai university has still not been issued... I do have a degree certificate from the above university stating that I have completed my engineering degree...
My questions are,

1. Will this certificate be enough to obtain a work visa ???

2. Do I need to apply for a residence permit ? I have heard that it is only required for families and I am a bachelor.

3. I have heard that if I get a work visa and dont get a residence permit within 2 months, My work visa will be cancelled... Is this true ???

Please do help me out soon !

Thanks !!!

Dear Adithya, I have also same problem. I do not have my convocation here. I have only my degree certificates(Memo & provisional).

Did you get the Visa by using the degree certificates?

OK so if your degree cert is attested that means you can apply for resident visa . Of course this will be after you have have joined the company , after the inital HR process. Please speak to the company HR or the PRO

Dear job means resident visa, when you get a job your sponsor will apply for your permanent visa, permanent visa means resident/work perment.

Any if your degress/ certificate are attested from your country's forign office and from your embassy in Qatar then Qatar Forrign office will attest your certificate/ Degrees and then no one will ask that "Is it convocation degrees or certificate or what so ever.

Why your company didn't help you anything on this matter? They should not expect you can do it on your own right?

You need to speak to the HR of your employer . I believe you need a degree certificate which needs to be attested by the university, MOE and Qatar embassy especially for engineers . You can get this done via your company or private agencies like Urogulf.

You are not getting any residence visa without sponsorship in Qatar. Sponsorship means, a company/local qatari that willing to hire you while you're in qatar.

You need to get a job first in Qatar. Some people using their visiting visa to come here and then looking for any job within that given period.
