VISA PROBLEM

I have a situation which is complicated, and it goes like this:

I entered Qatar holding a Tourist Visa valid for 30 days (Not Renewable). During my stay, I was offered a job and the company went into the process of converting my Tourist Visa into a Residence Visa. The company took my passport for processing after all the contract documents has been signed by both parties. On the day we signed the contract, I started on my job immediately.

After 2 weeks of working with the company, the supposed project in which we were hired to work with has no certainty to be awarded to our company. This prompted the company to let us go and look for other jobs. The company however promised to help us on the NOC’s or other documents whenever we find a job.

In my case, my original Tourist Visa was already expired for a week now. My company told me that they already applied me for a residence visa, but my passport has not been stamped yet. I also did not go yet for fingerprinting.

At this point of time, I want to look for another job.

My questions are the following:
1. Will I be able to be applied for a residence visa by a new company if I have an NOC from my current company?
2. Will I not be banned?
3. What is the proper thing to do if I will be able to find a job?

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

I think you messed up here from the begining. When the company offered you a job, you should have made exit on tourist visa to Dubai or Bahrain and get into Qatar again on single entry work visa..that could have given you hope for the next job having NOC in hand..Better late than never..Try doing these steps if possible now if your company permits or seek help from Indian Embassy.

Hi,

Yeah it's a big problem...first and foremost your visa was already expired you will pay your everyday penalty...i don't know how much is cost now, b4 it was 10QR per day for family visa..but for tourist visa if I am not mistaken it will cost like 200QR per day.

Or..another options..go for exit...in Dubai, Bahrain, Oman or somewhere else.

Hope you solve it :) Goodluck
