visa rejected

good day to all..

as i was searching for answers to my dilema i found this site. i find it very informative specially to those people having problems with their visas. so here's mine...

my husband worked in qatar from sept 2008 to sept 2010, he resigned from the company for some personal reasons, my husband request for an NOC and the company gave it to him. we are very confident that my husband can go back to qatar anytime because he has a NOC. after a year, my husband apply for work in qatar to this recruitment agency, interviewed by the employer and was accepted.medical were done and all the necessary requirements were given to them for the applying of visa and advise us to just wait for the visa.after a month the agency called and said my husband's visa was rejected twice because of the ban.i read somewhere from this forum that if you have NOC you can come back anytime in qatar.we were so confused.they said my husband has a 2year ban even if he has a NOC.is it true that even if you have NOC you still have to wait 2years to go back there?

i apologize for the long read we just dont know what to do..

thanks in advance..god bless

s_isale - yes it was issued september 15 2008,i am looking at it now there is no expiration date written on it. the signature was ok my husband said the signiture is fine.we read it countless times we cannot find anything unusual on it.it was translated in arabic also, stamped by the company.we are so confused and so disappointed. my husband was devastated. the agency informed us that the company were already hired someone else. we don't know what went wrong.thanks for your reply.

didnt the NOC have a date on when it was issued?

didnt it carry the signature of the one gave noc? maybe there was differnce in the signatory and hence got rejected on verification....

they can do that even if they already released the NOC?meaning the certification itself is useless because they can cancel it whenever they want to?

vashanth- yes the agency here in philippines attached the NOC along with other documents.thanks for your reply.drsam - my husband's job is a material engineer (civil construction)thanks for your reply.flexicode - there is no expiration date whatsoever in my husband's NOC, the NOC clearly stated that my husband can come back anytime to work there in qatar so it did not cross our minds that there is a expiration for that certification.my husband is thinking of trying to apply to other company there in qatar but here in the philippines theres no opening yet.bhat001,hr.aes - my husband's NOC is also translated in arabic,it is not stated in my husband's NOC that it is only valid for six months.now that you mentioned it, maybe that is the reason why my husbands visa is rejected twice, but i read in other sites that if you have NOC you can come back anytime, they did not mention about the validity of NOC.thanks for your reply.

Try to call up your previous company ask them to issue a new NOC.May be they can this rule is common in all the GCC countries which states that the NOC from the employer is valid for 6 months from the date it was issued.

NOC is valid for only 6 months and it should be in Arabic. Request a new NOC letter from your previous employer and it has to be submitted with the application for visa.

Otherwise wait for 2 year from the date of exit from Qatar.

I have never come across a case where the validity of an NOC was tested. It has been more than a year since your husband secured No Objection from his then employer. Visas need renewal after a year so I doubt NOC can remain valid for this long. Under normal circumstances NOC is a detach and attach document without a time delay as in your case. I can think of 3 reasons behind this issue.

1. The visa that was detached from your husband was allowed to expire without a name change.

2. The validity of the NOC expired.

3. Your prospective employer wants to avoid the hassle after your case was understood because your husband is not here and this employer will have to coordinate with your then employer to get the visa in your name.

The best would be to speak to the employer directly to know the exact reason. Or apply to a different employer to confirm if you have been banned for 2 years.

specify ur husband job please.

dentists for example need 2 NOC: one to transfer the work visa, but one also to transfer the medical licence from first clinic to the other.

anyway, he can always contact his former employer and arrange it (as difficult as it may seem )

Just verify the NOC. I think if any one has NOC then as per rule NO Ban. May be there is some problem with NOC
