Hello Friends, I am holding an indian passport and residing in Dubai on a work permit with the designation of "production manager" on my visa for the past 3 years. Please advice if I am eligible to get an on arrival visa at Doha Int'l Airport or is it possible for me to get on arrival visa at all. I have come across a website today saying that on arrival visas are no more valid for residents of GCC countries starting 1st of May, 2010. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
my friend wants to visit Qatar and he is an accountant general and currently works now in UAE. can he get visa upon arrival? whom can we verify if he can get it? can we call qatar airways to verify?
what hotel can you refer which can give a cheaper rate?
you can get visit visa thru 5 star hotel, its only 200riyals but you have to stay in the hotel minimum 3 days. if there is a company to book you . yuo will get cheaper price
no , you cant get visa upon arrival with your designation. only managers, doctors and engineers can get visa upon arrival, i am a resident of bahrain , my designation is a science teacher , but cant get visa upon arrival , i tried to chek it in qatar embassy in bahrain
I have a South African friend resident in UAE. She was allowed on the plane in UAE where they checked her residence, but turned away at the Qatar immigration as they would let in a doctor, but not a nurse!
You can get a visa on arrival based on the designation on your Saudi Visa/CPR card. Check with them as to the eligibility of your designation to get a visa on arrival at the airport.
Formatted Soul is incorrect as you are a GCC resident. I have received visa on arrival for the whole of 2006 and 2007 as my designation on my Bahrain CPR came under the category of visa's on arrival for indians.
As for the charges - as of Dec 2007 it was QR55 when you fly Qatar airways and i think QR 105 for other airlines for the visa on arrival. You need to have a credit/debit card as cash is not accepted. You will get a 14 day visa which can be extended once (another 14 days). Thereafter you have to leave qatar.

I'm not sure on the 3 months visa.
Visa on arrival is available only for certain nationalities. Indians is not included in that.
