People from South Africa, I kind of need your help on this. =)
Well, I wanna visit my boyfriend in S.A. I met him here in Doha during his intern for 6 months and now he's back in S.A.

So if anybody here knows what the requirements are? I'm under my dad's sponsorship here and I'm not working.. oh and I have a Filipino passport. So, yea.. please PM me if you have any details regarding this. It will really REALLY help. Please. =)

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Are you sure it's fine?? Well, I'd suggest to my boyfriend to come back here, but.. naw. Don't think so. =) I'd rather go to S.A and see the country!

Tell your dad first. I hope it's fine. =)

Thanks.

yes, in fact I was just talkin to him about it only today.

My plans were to go on December.. but I really wanna see him so bad.

So, yea.. I don't know about the bank statements because I just got here recently. And I moved here because it's closer to S.A compared to the Philippines. I mean the time difference. Hihi.

Plus I understand that even though I have a Filipino Passport, but under my dad's sponsorship.. it's a bit easier than having to apply the visa from Manila.

How do I get to start it? PLease help. Hehe

Thanks.

The South African embassy is located at the West Bay and you have to apply there for a visa. For Indians, thanks to good works done by Mahatma Gandhi, the visa is available at no charge. Don't know what are the charges for other nationalities. Maybe persons from Philippines are previleged to have visa on arrival status, do check.

But my wife and I had to submit our bank statements for last 3 months and letters from our sponsors. The visa process took 3 days and it was a hassle free affair.

Also, before you fly down to Jo'burg and give him a surprise, please call him up and check with him if he wants to meet up again or not? No offense, but it might just save you some money, otherwise wishing you all the luck!
