What happens if one tests positive for Hepatitis B?
I noticed that the Qatar ministry of interior requires HIV and Hepatitis tests for residency permit applications. I am a passive HB carrier, having been exposed when I was a baby (I was born in Africa). I am perfectly healthy otherwise. Will this automatically rule out my chance to get a work visa? Or will the authorities look at the particulars of my situation? I have a chance of landing a decent Job in Doha, but there is no point proceeding if the medicals are gonna rule me out.
Someone with knowledge and experience please help. Thanks.
if ur home country telling that ur physicaly fit even ur positive carrier with hepatitis b i think still u can find a job here in qatar.u just continue taking medicine for ur illness...goodluck!!!
Government workers and workers with private companies are not tested for Hep B or C. ONLY food workers and home workers. I was very concerned about this myself, being positive for Hep C, and I even told the doctor, but received my medical certificate with no problem. On the back of the form it states that Section B, which is the Hepatitis section, is only applicable to food workers and home workers. I hope this definitively answers this for people, as i was very worried about it myself.
I think you will be considered as medically unfit. This what I heard from my friends. Better to have a second opinion from a licensed doctor who is doing medical check-up for GCC countries. Good luck and may God help you.
very simple.your country will never regect you, I mean person who got positive.
May Allah give him good health
One goes home!
Most probably you'll be rejected and sent back to your point of origin.
Sorry!!!
