work visa frustrating issue
Dear all QLs .....
concisely as i could, i would like to share your opinion in this issue ...
i have been hired from oversea for hmc post(dr)and they applied for work visa on 28/6 just to be issued on 4/7 w issue date and expiry date but ready for print was absent ..and the visa is still under process for 4 months so far ..
Hr replies ...its nt w us seek the immigration section...
immigration section said : we finished our job ,but maybe it's hold by work office .. what is the work office or how to reach it (only god knows )
again back to hr,they reply we are following it (since 2 months ago )..
medical education(hmc ): we are following the visa ...
and so so far...i'm hearing this speech over 4 months and no progress...
i read many topics over ql but nothing like this ...
plz i want your suggestions for this issue ...how can i catch my visa instead of following it ...

doc i just wanna share my experience regarding that visa i was hired in our country/actually passed the interview february 6 and i waited 5 months before they informed me that my visa is ok.... dont worry hmc will informed you also... youre in good hand just be patient...Godbless
and until now, its still under process....
The girl is already upset and using me as her rant and "venting" machine...yaiiks!.
BoB allow the Dr some slack , ! Im stressing waiting for my work visa for 3 weeks and he's waiting for his for 4 months

but:
- can't go personally cz i'm abroad
-a friend visited the immigration office(hamad)& they told him its with the work office
-Also a friend tried to meet the officer Nasser but he couldn't(its nt possible)..1 month ago
-i can not wait much more because my visa will be expired soon after 1 month ..!!!
-HMC has great facilities as well a sophisticated teaching system...it worth..
........
but SMS 09 is it truly hard to meet this high rank officer ??
if any body you know nearly appointed you contact with him by his any responsible person and request him pl help me.this can solve your problum

I heard of Doctors having bad handwriting, but your above post really makes me wonder what kind of Doctor are you and where are you from?
try to get from the HR the numb of your file, with the date of submitting. then go to:
http://www.moi.gov.qa/site/english/
click on VISA approval tracking
fill the number and the date
maybe it ll help you..
or go in person to the complaint office and give them your file number, i guess they'll help you...

Try to go to the Hamad Immigration with a Arab Speaking guy, so that you will understand what exactly can be done. If its still in Immigration hands you can visit the Main Immigration - Meet Mr. Nasser Al Attiya in the first floor, address to him that you are a Dr. and tell your problem. If its something to do with the HMC, then get an appointment with the Director HR and meet him and tell him the situation. All the Best. As a Dr. working with Hamad is a very good opportunity.

Do you really want to work for such an inefficient and clumsy corporation? Ask yourself this question: If this is how they handle one of the simplest tasks (visa issuing), how will they handle my other issues or how will they handle any special or uncommon need?
They will not change, until people start demanding better quality of HR and treatment for the employees, which will not happen until they start losing talents and have hard time hiring new ones.
you must personally follow it up in your HR every other day.
You need to wait
Just be patient and wait. It always happen.
