Working in Qatar after arrival!

For anyone who can help!!

Family moving to Qatar - Wife has been offered employment. Husband trying to secure work prior to relocation. However if this does not pan out how does a spouse (male) go about gaining employment once in Qatar. What documentation is required and where can one go in Qatar to secure all the required documents?

Thanks,
Ron

Just sit around the pool all day while your wife earns the dough. Live the dream!

I would suggest bringing the original copy of your educational certificate(s) and original marriage certificate, rather than relying on copies.

As for the 'where' to go, that will depend on the sort of industry sector you are looking in.

If money isn't a problem, my advice would be to come and not rush into the first job opportunity, but to take your time to really understand the local market. And I'm sure it will help your wife to have you available to help out with the myriad little surprises you'll encounter on arrival, such as help with driving licenses, connecting utilities, finding your way around town, etc.

Thank you Mandi,

I appreciate the information.Sounds like a plan to just double up on all documentation as per my wifes requirements.

Take care,

The documentation you will need to work in Qatar you should bring with you, i.e., police clearance, certified copies of educational experience, marriage certificate and the like. You may want to bring your copy of pretty much everything your wife is submitting.
