Working Visa Application rejected: 2 years BAN or anything else? How to find out?

Greetings!

I have a job offer in Qatar and when the employer applied for my working visa, it has been rejected because of what the Qatar Immigration said " Existing Ban". The employer was able to send me a visit visa to Doha when they interviewed me last January and I did not experience any problem in and out. Now because of the ban, the employer doesn't have any choice but to revoked the offer.

I've lived and work in Qatar for almost 5 years, my last Qatar visa validity is July 24, 2010 and I left (exit) Qatar on October 2010.

My questions are:
1) How can we find out what BAN is it all about? Is it a 2 years ban or something else? 2) How can we find out when it will be over? I have an NOC from my previous sponsor but still have a BAN, is that possible?
3) The employer was able to provide me a visit visa when i visit them for an interview last January but how come I'm having a BAN when applying for working visa?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot guys,

2 years ban is applicable if NOC is not given by your former employer. There can be some other reason like your prospective employer may not have enough Visa for particular category and nationality.

I left my previous employer and came back in a new Visa within 3 months time as I had NOC from previous employer.

Visit visa no problem But work residence visa you have to complete the 2 years ban. You left Oct. 2010. It will be be complete 2 years in October 2012. Better luck next time.
