Learn how to make a Documentary with Doha Film Institute

Are you interested in learning documentary filmmaking?
We are looking for 5 aspiring filmmakers to take part in a documentary filmmaking workshop that coincides with The Qatar Marine Festival's upcoming Pearl Diving Competition June 1st-June 4th.
In this workshop you will learn documentary filmmaking as well as the rich cultural history of Qatar's pearl diving industry.
Here are some details of the workshop:
- Runs from May 29th - June 4th
- Meet documentary producers from Al Jazeera and Q TV to discuss techniques on making a documentary
- Meet veteran Qatari pearl divers to discuss the history of pearl diving
- An exclusive filming trip to the Pearl Diving Competition - which includes daily trips to the boats competing in the competition OR the chance to stay on Banana Island (in an Air Conditioned tent) at the site where the competitors will stay on June 1st and June 2nd (returning to Doha the night of June 3rd)
- Exclusive filming at the celebration at Villagio on June 4th
- Your documentary film will then have a chance to appear on www.dohafilminstitute.com and www.qmfoc.gov.qa.
