basta't magkakasama sa maliit na kumot

sino ba ang ayaw guminhawa?
kahit na magpa-alila sa mga banyaga
kung ang kapalit naman ay ginhawa ni ina

kahit anong init aking iinumin
kahit anong lamig aking lulunukin
muli't muli kong sasariwain
lakas ng loob ko'y hindi mananakaw sa akin

huwag mo sabihin sa akin
pinanghihinaan ka na rin

palitan mo ng ngiti ang bawat hikbi
palitan mo ng tuwa ang bawat luha
unti unti mong mapupuna
kay bilis ng araw ikaw pala'y uuwi na.
