OFW...a look into the future.
In five to ten years from now, many of us would have left Qatar. Some may have put up businesses in the Philippines. Some may have migrated to Canada, US, Australia, etc. Some, may just end up as dependents waiting for their sons & daughter's remittances. Forget about us but the point of my curiosity is on how the life of the next generation Qatar-based OFW would look like?
Bolang kristal tells us that ten years from now Qatar FilExpats would...
- Experience traffic as hell! It'll take you two hours to drive anywhere.
- Accommodation will be cheap, but houses will be so old. Blame it on construction cost cutting.
- Parking space is at QAR.25/hour everywhere!
- Internet will be free anywhere paid for by pop-up ads.
- You can switch employers any day just as you would shift to a new apartment.
- RP would cost QAR.5,000 & employers would no longer pay for them.
- You can buy mamooy at Family Food Center.
- Corniche will smell like hell.
- Family day at malls will be pointless.
- FilExpat will have more than 60,000 members but will have a sub-group following.
Well, just guessing..what's your guess?
