Yard Sale...Pinoy Style!
When I was in Saudi we used to do this during winter... We gather all our old stuff; clothing, DVD's, appliances, books, souvenirs, etc. anything that still has value but we no longer use. Then all 20-30 of us gather one Friday morning set up makeshift booths (usually inside a compound) & sell our stuff to invited guests both Pinoy & other foreigners. It was a fun-filled day as you get to meet fellow-Pinoys while at the same time, enjoy shopping for interesting stuff that other people own at a bargain price! One man's trash, is another mans treasure like some say. Some also came selling their kakainin & Pinoy delicacies which brought a fiesta atmosphere to the yard sale.
I've always wanted to attend such mini-bazaar events like this... But in Qatar, do you think it would fly?
