Bahrain Air bad service

I have taken Bahrain Air recently to try it out since I heard it is so cheap. Never mind that they have no service on the plane, and they don't have a front seat option for families with an infant. Eventhough they do charge for infants. On my trip, they had lost my Baby Stroller. over a week passed without any sign of the stroller. I contacted the airport sevral times and they finaly told me to contact Bahrain Air because bahrain air still used paper process for lost lauggaes (imagine an airline in the 21 century don't use computers for lost lauggages). Anyway, about 2 months has passed already, 6 forms I was asked to fill in at different times, sevral emails and phone calls. And up till now No sign of the stroller and no componsation. Not to mention that for almost a month I did not take my family out because I did not have a stroller for my 1 month old baby. Anyway, My advice to you is be carfulle with Bahrain Air, yes it cost less but their service and respect to customers is way less than what you pay...I have travelled a lot in the past 12 years (at least 5 times a year) wit different airlines and I can trully say Bahrain Air is the worst airlines I have seen so far.

1. It was not a 30 minutes flight as I was not going just to Bahrain.

2. It does have a bar tag but I was told by Doha Airport that Bahrain air lost luaggages is not computerized (Go figure) they told me they still handel things manualy(paper work).

1. What 'service' are you expecting on a 30 minute flight?

2. I assume you checked in the stroller, in which case it would be the airport baggage handlers at fault and not the airline. all checked luggage should have a bar code tag on it, so it will be computerized somewhere.

Did you Google it first?

Air Bahrain is a cheap airline because they have late night flights, if you are OK with that, and don't have a little baby, sometimes convenient connections.

But also you have to be prepare that they may cancel a flight and inform you the same day, so if you have an occasion forget about it ;)) the next available flight will be after at least couple days.

and keep in mind the ticket price is nonrefundable.

It is always your choice, wish you all safe trips

Hi Stacey,

Yes I teach here in Doha.

I too have had great service through Bahrain Air. They are a great low cost option and their flights and connections are actually at times that make sense (as opposed to the random, strange overnight stopovers that Air Arabia has in Sharjah for almost all of their flights).

On an unrelated note, your profile mentions that you are a university instructor -- do you teach here in Doha?

Cheers,

Stacey

according to your post...

"Not to mention that for almost a month I did not take my family out because I did not have a stroller for my 1 month old baby."

how much does a stroller cost? i mean, u punished your whole family by not bringing them outside just for a single stroller? i don't think that was a wise decision on your part as a parent...

sorry, just my opinion...
