Is 6000 riyal offered for a job good amount to rent a shared (twin?) accomodation & food (non-vegetarian)? And public transport?

Also, is it cold in the night, so should I carry light quilt OR only a thin cover would do?

Thanks Saddy & Acchabaccha!! I like to live reasonably well, and taking this opportunity purely for trying to step-on international job postings with good company as an opportunity. Can you suggest if for first time travel from India should I carry cerelas like rice, pulses to cook on my own- I mean are these items expensive in Doha? If not, I can reduce my baggage weight. Please advise.

You may be spending QR 1500 for shared accommodation, QR 700 for your food and another QR 700 for your transport by bus service. The rest could be your savings. However, as saddyboy has stated, people survive here receiving just QR 3000 per month as salary and there are others who find a salary of QR 30000 as just too low.

its completely depends on your life style dear...here, you can see people who survive with 3000 riyals to 300000 riyals a month...public transport is very poor here, you have to have your own car or many taxi's available but it will be expensive for your salary to survive for 1 month.
