GPS - Where to buy?

I am planning to buy a good but affordable GPS but don't know where to find it. Does a cellphone or a PDA with a GPS actually works if I decide to go offroad (ie Inland Sea)? Any brand and models you can suggest?

Appreciate any advice and thanks in advance.

Friends,

Thanks for your advice. I decided to go for Nokia N95 8GB. Good one and I appreciate jackmohan 2007 for the tips.

Gramin Nuvi 200 which is around $270 (QR 1000).

Display size, WxH:

2.8"W x 2.1"H (7.2 x 5.4 cm); 3.5" diag (8.9 cm.

Nokia 95 (8 GB -QR 2600) also has a Powerful GPS navigation device. IT gives you the street names & directions to & from. It is also voice activated. so it tells you "300mtrs after the Roundabout take the 3rd exit".

You can save coordinates wherever you are in the world. Look it up to find directions later.

I was pleasently surprised to find a lot of information on Qatar in N95. Even the street names (which are not much use).

Add to it a 5MP camera of the N95 + 8GB capacity. Near DVD quality Video recording & playback. (Wi-Fi ready) Wireless net surfing ability.
