MY PERSONAL VODAFONE REVIEW
MY PERSONAL REVIEW OF VODAFONE
I purchased my new Vodaphone sim last night.
My review:
Pro:
- Very cheap international rates 0.50 Dh per minute.
- Cheap cellphones available upon purchase of SIM. (I bought mine for 115 QR, with a 50 QR discount - making it 65 QR only)
- The Flexi plan comes with free (Vodafone to Vodafone) calls.
eg. I purchase a 55QR Plan. ASide from the usual 60QR (55+5QR bonus) which can be used for calling Qtel etc., I also got another 55QR for V to V calling.
Cons:
- Due to a large sellout, it takes few hours to activate account
- To avail of their postpaid, you have to have a Credit card
- I'm getting a very weak signal here at work (Ras Laffan)
- The 0.5 Dh is temporary (until sept). Who knows what's next?
Overall judgement:
I'll be trying this for a few months. I will still keep my old Qtel with me. I might revert from QTEL postpaid to QTEL prepaid if I'll still enjoy their rates after September.
I bought mine in Lulu Hypermarket (in Matar Qadeem).
I heard there is one at Villagio, and another at LandMark.
later on, it will prove beneficial. Where are Vod outlets?

Thank you mamertz
I don't know..... the DU experience in Dubai tells me VodaFona may very well become disaster.
Now VodaFone is internationally established but I am sure that QTEL will not sit back and let them take over the market. +- 1.4 Million is not a very large market to share.
Eventually, I believe, the company with the Q will win.
@tallg
Yap, it is a limited offer!! Until Sept only. After that, we still don't know what they got under their sleeves.
Probably, they would reveal a new scheme. Hmmmm...
@pintham
It's 0.5 Dh all-in-all for international calls.
or put the price up ....
Is this 0.50QR international rate is in addition to the local mobile charge per minute? Or whether it is ONLY 0.50/minute? Please let me know
Thanks
"Very cheap international rates 0.50 Dh per minute."
This is a limited offer, isn't it?
is there any air surcharge as qtel is charging?
