Qtel launched its customer loyatly programme - Nojoom - this weekend.

Nojoom which means “Stars” has been designed to thank Qtel’s customers for their engagement with the company, which has served the Qatari market for more than 20 years.

The programme allows customers to earn points which they can exchange for gifts. Each and every time customers use Qtel services – whether making phone calls, sending SMS, watching Mozaic TV+ or surfing the Internet – they can receive Nojoom points. For every Qatari Riyal our customers spend on any of Qtel services, they will earn one Nojoom point; which can be redeemed for rewards from Qtel such as free minutes, SMS and Hala top ups or for vouchers from our premium partners on board of the program, namely Qatarairways, Virgin, Giant Stores and the cinemas of Grand cinecenter.

It's easy to enrol to Nojoom and it's free. Simply visit www.qtel.com.qa and click on Nojoom and follow the simple registration process available online. Registration online will award you 500 Nojoom points.

Alternatively, you may call the IVR number 114 for free (available for all Qtel customers except Hala) or call 111 (available to all Qtel customers) and press option 7 and enrol to the program.

The programme has been designed with three membership status levels : Nojoom Blue, Nojoom Silver and Nojoom Gold. The higher you move to the next level, the higher your benefits reaching up to 2 Nojoom points for each QR1 spent on Qtel services. If you enrol now and until the 31st of August, your membership could be automatically upgraded to Silver or Gold membership status based on your usage of Qtel services over the last 12 months. To register all you need is your Qatari ID and phone number.

So why delay? Sign up and see how life is more rewarding with Nojoom.

Let me clarify the difference between Nojoom points and Status points

At the Nojoom Blue Status you will earn 1 Nojoom Point for every 1 Riyal spent on Qtel Services linked under your Qatari ID.

At the Nojoom Silver Status you will earn 1.5 Nojoom Points for every 1 Riyal spent on Qtel Services linked under your Qatari ID.

At the Nojoom Gold Status you will earn 2 Nojoom Points for every 1 Riyal spent on Qtel Services linked under your Qatari ID.

To upgrade to Silver Status you must collect 60 Status Points within a 12 month period, this is equivalent to an average spend of 500 Riyals per month for 12 months.

To upgrade to Gold Status you must collect 300 Status Points within a 12 month period.

Once you upgrade to a new Status, that Status will be valid for 12 months.

Some of you might be having problems registering - your phone number must be registered under your Qatari ID number. If it is registered in someone else's name, you must enter their ID number and the message with password will go to their number.

Ex: my kids' phones are registered in their uncle's name, so they have to enter his ID number. He controls the account, but can designate them as separate users.

Hope this helps

I got an SMS with my qtel bill payment username/password, not the new ones I typed.

I tried that and it was able to login... then you discover:

1 point every QR100 spent.

QR5 Hala credit for 200 points (QR20,000)

QR10 Hala credit for 350 points (QR35,000)

If you spend even more in a full year, you would be able to get 1.5 to 2 points per QR100.

Useless waste of time and energy.

Yup, same problem with me. I even got a confirmation email from qtel but now when i try to log in, it says member not found and since qtel wont tell you unless you wait on the 111 for 35mins & 45secs and being transferred to 5 different people. Username & password is case sensitive

4.2.5. Status Points are earned at a rate of 1 point for every QR100 spent on Qtel services and are only awarded on every full QR100 actually spent without regard to fractions.

Free Hala credit and now this.

Not long ago everyone was saying that Vodafone entering the market wouldn't make a difference to prices. It clearly is.

Well, we can see QTEL management getting ready to compete with VODAFONE in advance.

.

Anyhow, happy that atleast something has been done by QTEL for residents in Qatar. It really sucked our bloods for the last many decades. Now it's PAYBACK time for them

.

Anyhow, still very much looking forward towards cheap INT'L CALLS by QTEL or VODAFONE
