Question to all DMIS kids parents....

As you all know,DMIS is planning to undergo expansion and modernisation in which case there will be demolition and construction in the same location.Which means our kids classrooms will be located just near the construction site.

Is there anyone out there who knows how things are going to change?Willmkids be relocated to a different location? If the swimming pool ,auditorium are to be demolished, where will the kids play and have any kind of audition?I am not able to get a good answer from DMIS as they say they say they are still waiting for some "approvals".

And why did the school ask for PDC ?When we questioned the principal he says it is a decision from management.

I am more worried about construction as it might affect kid's health.Any idea when it is going to start ?Do we have the option of moving out of the school in the middle? Will other schools admit students now?

First issue might be that school will now be in a tent in the form of a tent.

Don't worry, SEC and relevant government authorities will ensure that all laws and standards are applied and followed, just like they did for Gympanzee at Villagio.

Is this legal? Is SEC aware of this?I always had some regard for this school .Looks like we are forced to look for a better option. Is it an indirect way of telling parents to move out of the school?I am sure the school would know that students will leave if this demolition is goingto happen.BTW,why are they demolishing the bldg?

Which school would be better among BPS and DPS?I think these schools have better infrastructure now.

With reference to PDC and advance towards transport is illogical.DMIS by taking PDC can take loan by depositing our checks as guarantee.I am one of parent who has given the PDC unwillingly as we parents does not have voice.

There are many actions which needs to be scrutinized, if we can form a forum and discuses such issues.

Doha Modern Indian School has always occupied a place of pride regarding its infrastructure. We have devised a scheme for expansion and modernization of the school campus.

Some more land adjoining to the Lawn Tennis Court has been added to the present school campus for development and expansion in lieu of the space of the existing Multipurpose Hall. State of the Art facilities related to Multipurpose Hall, Swimming pool and Canteen are being created in this space. New Classrooms will be added on the first floor.

The present Multipurpose Hall and Swimming Pool are being demolished. As a temporary stop-gap arrangement an Air conditioned structure in the form of a tent is being installed for School Assembly, indoor games and school activities. It will also cater to the need of the ASIP students who take lunch at school. Swimming classes will be held at The Cambridge School (TCS) for which to and fro transport arrangements will be made by the school. (TCS located nearby to DMIS, is one of the three schools under our management, the Taleb Group)

Kiwi..kids brought up here do not have much immunity like the ones back home..I know one of my friend's kid who has a severe nasal allergy and blood will ooze out from his nose as soon as he enters dusty area.

Mercurie,Is it so?So it looks like we are one among those fools who gave PDC.But doesn't it reflect the standard if the school. If they have waived of for one, they should be returning everyone's check.

I guess you have a point , the kids are going to be in a construction site. Most of the kids here as it is have breathing difficulties and skin allergies.

I guess the activities previously conducted in the auditorium will be in the new circus tent;)

From what I heard, they did not collect PDCs from those parents who complained real hard
