Renew Passport from Doha or Pakistan ??

Assalamalikum

I am a Pakistani national and i need some advise in relation to Renewing Passport.

I need to renew my passport, should i get it renewed from Pakistan or should i renew it here in Doha?

I heard that if we get our passports renewed in a middle east country, and if we apply for immigration in future, there may be some issues.

My question again, Are there any issues in renewing a Passport from Doha ????

rzk, no one is putting Allegations...... If someone from my Family can get PP in a weeks time, with out taking Appointment is it my mistake... if you are in a Hurry to get your PP, why not get a Manual One, it will take a Day...

Dear FLying Ace you have to be careful before putting allegations on anyone..I have very good connections in the embassy but could not get my daughters MRP renewed even in 6 weeks! Doha Embassy has no role except for taking your finger prints and photo after that every thing depends on Islamabad where it is printed and sent over.

I would recommend if you are going to Pakistan get it renewed there.

You can get Hand Written Passport in a Day, that is valid for 6 months, you can travel to Pakistan and then Come back with out Any Issues....

Regarding the Computerized Passports, You can get it in a Weeks time, you just need a contact inside the Embassy, like the Military Attache.... :)

My appointment is this month only, but if it takes more then a week, will get a Hand Written passport... :)

I heard the renewal of passport is free, if someone shows-up remittance card worth Rs.10, 000/=

NO ! Allhumdullilah i am blessed that i am a Pakistan. But yes Pakistan is unfortunate to have people like you (Tahir Siddiqui).

You are made by Pakistan and that is the reason why you are in Qatar. Let me say where you go when Qatar throws you out of your job

Well some people here took it wrong. My current passport is also computerized :P

Secondly i went to Pakistan in April 2011 and i went to Passport office for making my niece's passport.

I applied for normal passport which is suppose to come in 40 days. But they dont actually give it in 40 days, they take around 2 to 3 months.

BUT !!

I heard from a very reliable source that the local passport office get your passport in 15 days, but they keep it with themselves and they say that "Janab, Islamabad se passports nahi aa rahay." And if you give them money (bribe), you would get your passport easily within 40 days.

And this proved to be correct when my cousin came from Dubai to renew his passport in Karachi. He got his passport back in 1 week. I am talking about April-May 2011. AND THIS IS REAL FOLKS.

Its computerized everywhere, either in pakistan or here in Doha, renewing it anywhere would be the same. Problem here is long queue for getting an appointment, appointment would be after a month and then passport will take another month, so it gonna take about 2 months from now when u get ur renewed passport in hand. I dunno how long it gonna take in Pakistan.......

There would be no issues in renewing your Passport here from Doha as we are renewing ours since 25 years. So, you should renew it from Doha...
